Objectives

Our team use random function to generate arbitrary 2D and 3D contour plots and developed a code that receives temperature distribution values to plot 2D and 3D temperature distribution contours.

Mathematical Background

  1. Parametric Curves (매개변수 곡선)

A parametric curve represents a trajectory based on one or more parameters. The curve’s shape is defined by parametric equations that describe the coordinates (x, y, z) as functions of a parameter t.

  1. Himmelblau’s Function (Himmelblau 함수)

The Himmelblau’s function has multiple minima, which makes it useful for testing optimization algorithms. The function is often visualized using contour plots, showing the function’s different valleys and peaks in a 3D surface.

Himmelblau’s function is one of the most commonly used functions for drawing contour plots, and it was chosen because it produces aesthetically pleasing shapes.
